JOURNEYS provides outreach to the community, offering loving energy to the world. Such events as feeding the poor, helping battered women, visiting the elderly and cleaning up the environment are part of the JOURNEYS' outreach program.
How YOU Can Make a Difference this Month
Neighborhood Food Drive for Urban Ministries
The Urban Ministries food drive will be Saturdays, December 12th (back drop off) and 19th (bag pick up). We will meet at Breugger's Bagels at 7550 Creedmoor Road in the Stonehenge Shopping Center both Saturdays at 9:00am. As the demand for food has increased significantly over the last year your assistance is needed to help keep Urban Ministries pantry shelves stocked. An investment of 2-3 hours can make a big difference for many families in Wake County! If you are unable to attend please consider collecting food at your place of business or your local neighborhood.

Suggested Donations for the Food Drive Bag Pick Up:
- Canned meats: tuna, chicken
- Canned fruits
- Canned vegetables (no green
beans and corn)
- Canned soups
- Breakfast cereal; grits
- Powdered milk
- Dried beans
- Mac & cheese
- Applesauce
- Peanut butter and jelly
- Pasta: dry and canned
- Rice
- Juice; juice boxes
Angel Tree
This year at JOURNEYS, we will be collecting monetary donations for both the Salvation Army and Urban Ministries. If you donate to either cause, you will be given an angel with your name to hang on our angel tree. Donations made to the Salvation Army will go towards its Online Angel Tree program to help in-need families celebrate the holidays. Donations for Urban Ministries will be given to the Urban Ministries Honor Card program to help purchase holiday meals for those without the means.
Joy of Sox
This holiday season JOURNEYS will also be collecting new socks to help keep the homeless warm during the winter months. Bring a few pairs of warm socks to drop in our Sox bin.
Monthly Food Drive for Urban Ministries
Join JOURNEYS this year as it works with Urban Ministries to provide food to families of Wake County in need. Bring your food donations to Journeys the first Sunday of each month and it will be delivered to the Urban Ministries' Food Pantry the following week.
